What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Browser storage works in a similar way and also keeps small pieces of information on your device.

Essential Cookies

Required for core website functions such as login, account access and security. They cannot be switched off without signing out.

• prism_hiring_refresh: a first-party sign-in cookie (HttpOnly, SameSite Lax) that keeps you signed in. It lasts until you close your browser, or for 30 days if you choose “Remember me”, and is removed when you sign out.
• prism_hiring_access_token: kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, while you are signed in. It is a short-lived token the website uses to talk to our servers and is removed when you sign out.

Preference Cookies

Help remember settings and choices you make on the website.

• ph-theme: kept in local storage to remember whether you chose light or dark mode.
• prism_share_refs: when you open a job link shared by an employer's team member, the reference is kept in local storage for up to 30 days, so it can be linked to your application if you apply.

Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use analytics cookies or scripts. If that changes, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.

Functional / Integration Cookies

We do not currently set cookies for third-party features or integrations. Links that take you to other services, such as WhatsApp or social-media share links, open those services' own sites.

Emails

Emails from Prism Hiring contain a small image and tracked links that record when a message is opened or a link is clicked. This is not a cookie, but it is a similar technology, so we mention it here. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Managing Cookies

You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in to your Prism Hiring account, and disabling other storage may affect some website functions.

Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services you reach through links on the website may place their own cookies. Their use is governed by the relevant third party's privacy policy.

We will update this Cookie Policy, and its date, whenever the cookies or tracking technologies used on the website change.
